Intro to Fly Tying Class

  • Victor-Farmington Library 15 West Main Street Victor, NY, 14564 United States (map)

Our first event of the New Year will be our first ever Intro to Fly Tying presentation, in partnership with the Victor-Farmington Library. This program is designed for the beginner and will be led by some of the expert fly tyers in the Chapter.

We will cover the tools and materials needed to get started and demonstrate some easy to tie but effective fly patterns. We'll show the audience where to find instructional videos on YouTube and other online resources from companies like Orvis. We will also setup several fly tying stations for attendees who want to try their hand at tying a fly.

For anyone that wants to further pursue fly tying, we will also introduce our five-week Fly-Tying School, which we are holding for the first time in three years in March. The details of our Fly-Tying School are below.

The Victor-Farmington Library will be handling the registration of Intro to Fly Tying through their Event Calendar system. There are 20 seats available. Click here to Register.
