At the request of the DEC, the procedures for doing the stocking are going to change quite a bit. The DEC now plans to stock the Cohocton four times each year; however, each time they stock it will be only for one day versus the traditional two days. In addition, the DEC would like us to start out our day by helping them up at Atlanta. In other words, we will stock the river from Atlanta to Kanona, all in one day, and we will do this four times each year.

Our first day of stocking will be on the 24th of March (Thursday) and we will meet at the Mountain View Inn in Atlanta at 8:45 AM. I would like to get 9 volunteers to help with the stocking. I want to have quite a bit of help, so we get the job done quickly and efficiently, without wearing anyone out. If you would like to help, please get back to me at krausengr@earthlink.net by 8 March. This is a very important project, so please try to help on at least one of the four stocking days in 2022.
